Keeping up with everyone just got a lot more simple and far less expensive thanks to Boost Mobile.
These days, it can be difficult to have lunch for a modest $10. So, when a wireless carrier offers its subscribers a wireless plan that costs $10 a month, it’s time to take notice. Boost Mobile is providing customers with an inexpensive plan that provides unlimited talk and text with 2 GB of high-speed data. If you need more data, customers can purchase an additional 2 GB for $5 more dollars.
The move comes as Boost Mobile looks to aim at sizable niche markets that use less than 5 GB a month. One of the results of the pandemic is the need for data due to working and schooling taking place from home. This means that people who may otherwise require more data are using fewer thanks to their connectivity to home WiFi. This strategy may be one of the largest departures of standard operations since DISH Wireless purchased the MVNO from T-Mobile.
Boost Mobile’s history shows a clear approach. Targeting younger, urban markets that didn’t conflict with its previous owner’s operations, Sprint. But times have changed and now Boost Mobile is capable of going after any market it sees fit. Disrupting various markets, including elderly subscribers, can provide additional revenue streams for Boost as it explores new market segments to penetrate.
Stephen Stokols, the leader of Boost Mobile, spoke about how the company will take a more individualistic approach rather than mass plans that are meant to cover larger market segments. “Instead of a one plan for all, we’re going to start to offer plans that fit individual needs,” said Stokols. “It’s a broader demo than what Boost has gone after historically.”
Consumers looking for a discount plan to fit their low-data needs will need to act fast. The deal is here until December 31, 2020. Though here for a limited time, customers can sign up and can even set a meeting to one of Boost’s thousands of stores. Connecting to the vastly improved T-Mobile network, Boost Mobile customers will also be thrilled to know that the first-ever 5G capable smartphone from Apple, the iPhone 12, will be available for use.
