While many within the wireless industry are struggling to keep jobs, DISH Wireless is creating them. Dave Mayo, the Executive Vice President of Network Development for DISH, wrote on LinkedIn that “Dish is Hiring Wireless Professionals!” Since acquiring Boost Mobile from Sprint as part of the terms with Sprint’s merger with T-Mobile, DISH has placed its focus on attracting the necessary manpower to serve its millions of Boost customers, all while building out a comprehensive, nationwide 5G network.
DISH Wireless is now hiring hundreds of employees throughout the United States for both 5G related positions and support for its endeavors with Boost Mobile. When DISH purchased Boost Mobile it became the recipient of over 9 million customers and is looking to acquire more with its quality service and bringing back programs such as its $hrink-It! Plan. On the other hand, it also must focus on building out its 5G nationwide network or face paying a hefty fine. DISH committed to building out its 5G network to reach 70% of the country by 2023 or will be forced to pay more than $2 billion as a penalty.
Creating jobs has been part of DISH’s wireless plan for a while as it has previously committed that its headquarters in Littleton, Colorado alone would employ at least 2,000 employees. These expansions, however, are expected to reach many different states throughout the U.S. including Texas, Florida, and New York to name a few. Wireless specialists, device specialists, support for its Boost Mobile brand, and more are being recruited. Applicants can learn more about the jobs DISH is offering here.
The future of DISH is clear with a dedicated focus in the wireless industry. Becoming a major player in the wireless industry has already begun and as one of the premier forces in telecommunications, seeing where its foray into wireless goes is an exciting journey to watch.
